Illustration - Testimonials

"I've always been an illustrator, ever since I could pick up a pencil. I enrolled with the Victoria College of Art in the Classical Animation program because I felt that animation was the next best step for my creative mind and style of drawing. While taking this four year program, my illustration technique grew substantially alongside my animation skills. By the time the fourth and final year of the program came and my graduation was in front of me, I had a firmer and more enlightened idea of my own style of art and where it fits in the larger world of art around me. Since graduating from VCA I've worked on animated short films, book illustrations, and been a part of various art shows, on top of having a steady amount of regular private commissions. The teaching and guidance I received at VCA helped set me on this path of becoming a successful artist in the community."

"My decision to go to the Victoria College of Art was probably the best decision I could have made. The instructors are more than qualified, I have so much respect for all of them as people and as artists. Each instructor brings something different to the table which allows for the students to grow in a variety of ways. Not only are the instructors incredible, but the community involved with the school is too! Everyone (fellow classmates, faculty, alumni) is super encouraging and there is no doubt about it that you will find life long friends here! I graduated with my diploma in Illustration, but I still keep in contact with a lot of the staff, and I know that if I ever have any questions, I can still rely on them, even as an alumni of the school.
Thank you VCA!"

"Beside the joy of finally attending art school, being immersed in the art world of VCA was an amazing experience. The supportive learning environment created by both instructors and fellow students led to my discovery of old skills I didn't know I had as well as refining old skills that I had brought with me."
