Illustrators are employed in a wide variety of fields creating artworks directed to a specific purpose such as: illustrations for magazine articles, children’s and professional books, company newsletters, posters, DVD and CD art, advertising graphics, design mock-ups, trade show environments, trade publications, textbooks and many other fields such as muralization.
Five courses gets you a basic certificate which entitles you to membership in the Island Illustrators Society and access to their trade connections. These courses are:
Drawing 101, Design 103, Painting 102, Art English 100 and Illustration 101C.
Offered: Fall 2012 – Get ahead start: Art English and Painting 102 begin in May 2012.
Tuition: $3128 (Tuition Fees subject to increase 5% after July 1st, 2012)

Advanced Illustration 201C and 301C.
These courses give you a chance to build your portfolio and your reputation with in-course practicums such as illustrating newsletters for the Vancouver Island Health Authority or designing logos for local fairs and festivals, both of which our students were involved with last year. Pre-requisite: Illustration 101C
